Social Adult Day Center
Chenango Valley Home and Apartments expanded its services in 2018 to include the Chenango Valley Adult Enrichment Center. The program provides care and support for senior members of the community with functional impairments and respite for the caregiver for a few hours, half day, or full day. With a focus on socialization, nutrition, wellness, and personal care, the Adult Enrichment Center follows the guidelines set by the NYS Office for Aging.

Benefits of Adult Day Care
Socialization
Socialization has been proven to help reduce feelings of isolation and depression. At the center, seniors get to make new friends while taking part in social activities.
Nutrition
Seniors are provided with nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day. Those that require special diets are also catered to.
Personal Care
Our staff are able to help with daily living activities such as grooming, showering, toileting, walking, and feeding.
Service for Caregivers
The center is available to help provide respite for the caregivers at home so they may have a break and care for themselves. Support groups are offered for caregivers, as well as assistance with care planning and caregiving education.
Program Options
Full Day
Includes breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, planned activities, assistance with personal care
Half Day
Includes planned activities, assistance with personal care, breakfast, morning snack, OR lunch, afternoon snack
Extended Day
Includes full day program with transportation within Norwich city limits
